All Is Sufficiently Provided For

I love Christmas, but I love Easter much more! 😊

I mean, how could the death of one man bring so much Life and Life in abundance!? The more I grow in my spiritual walk, I have come to appreciate the essence and the importance of what Christ did on the cross of Calvary. Therefore I celebrate his birth and celebrate His death even much more because it signifies the core and essence of my faith.

And this season again, I choose to remember all that God did and I am reminded that, all that I need to live victoriously has been provided for and just like Paul, "I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me" ( Philippians 3: 12b).

Two stories emphasizes this for me, two very significant events that laced history and is forever celebrated; the triumphant entry to Jerusalem (Palm Sunday) and the Last Supper (Communion). These two events were days leading up to his death and it was so evident that Jesus had things planned and provided for.

In Luke 19:28-36, Jesus gave two of his disciples specific instructions:

“Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’ Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.

Verse 32 says, the disciples found things just as he had told them...

In Luke 22: 7-13 Jesus gave Peter and John instructions to go and make preparations for the Passover to be eaten and the disciples asked where he wanted them to prepare it

He replied, “As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, and say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.” They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.

Verse 11 says, the disciples found things as Jesus had told them.

In my study of these two scriptures, it occurred to me that if God gave His only Son to die for our sins and on his way to the cross He had made sure that everything was adequately provided for, how much more will God provide for you and I, the reason for his death on the cross? How much more will He provide for us to live a victorious life in Him?

God has made all things sufficiently provided for that we might have Life, abundant life in Christ Jesus. As we celebrate Easter, I am aware and I am taking in all that God has sufficiently provided for me.

Are you?

Yours in the walk...
