Is it not exciting to know that there is nothing we go through that God doesn't know about? The bible summarizes everything in this world into 3 major categories  : The lust of the flesh The lust of the eyes The pride of life     1 John 2:16-17 says  "For everything in the world- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life- is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away and the lust of it, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." Every temptation and sin in this world can be categorized into either one of these categories, adultery, hatred, jealousy, envy, rage and anger, selfishness etc.. just name it. Did you see the word "everything" in verse 16? The temptation of Jesus in Mathew 4:1-11 was very strategic, the devil tempted Jesus with everything in the world.
