A Wise Woman..




A  Wise Woman…
Builds (Proverbs 14 :1). I remember reading through this scripture in college and it struck me that the bible says “a wise woman” not “a wise married woman”. I didn’t have to wait till I got married to start building! and by building, I mean praying, studying the word and waiting on God for the right man to come my way. After realizing this, I kicked into action. I started praying and speaking life (especially into my marital life).

Today, a few years into marriage, am still building and I ask myself, “will I ever stop building?” and the answer is NO! You can start building a house and have a deadline for completion but a home? The deadline is “ till death do us part”. The interesting thing is while a house gets old by the years, a home built on Christ is revitalized and renewed by the years.
My home became my first place of assignment from the first day I got married so I will continue to build. Build for my husband, my children and generations yet unborn.

OVERSHADOW

The word overshadow means to tower above or to cast a shadow over .  Its Christmas and it is important to take another look at the Christmas story. I have read this story in the bible so many times, but this year something struck me and that is the word "overshadow". Luke 1:26-38 is an account of Mary's encounter with an angel who told her she would conceive and bear a son, whose name shall be called Jesus and he will be great and will be called Son of The Most High. HEAVENLY PLACES

I have just finished a bible study with the women's group from my church, we studied the book 'Armor of God ' by Priscilia Shirer. It was an interesting study and i had so many things to learn. An important lesson i learned from the bible study is about heavenly places which i am going to be sharing. I found this particular revelation very liberating for me and i pray it will be liberating for you as well. For me, there is something intimidating when the bible verse  Ephesians 6:12  is quoted  "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Scary right? look at all the forces of darkness in one sentence :) I know the next thing people say is "God is one your side" "God is fighting your battles"... The Prodigals

I’m sure we’ve heard about one of the popular stories of the Bible- The Prodigal Son. When that story is read or told, there is the tendency to see just the prodigal son; The one who demanded his inheritance prematurely, squandered it all in wild living, and came crawling back in shame.
